An international company focused on personal care/consumer products has contacted Rutgers’ Office of Corporate Engagement with the goal of identifying a Rutgers PI/lab with an interest in a potential service agreement.
The tolerability of personal care formulations on skin are often evaluated in clinical studies. Typical measurements include expert grading as well as instrumentation. We have preliminary research on biomarkers using cell and tissue cultures as well as clinical studies but want to further expand the clinical research aspect of the project by identifying and quantifying different skin biomarkers associated with these clinical studies.
Laboratory with the expertise extracting and evaluating skin inflammatory and sensitization biomarkers from clinical samples and have the capability to process many samples efficiently. Clinical samples will either be in aqueous solution, cotton tipped swabs, or tapes.
